One of the purposes of the Center is to provide arts events and activities that span the full spectrum of what is available. Each type of art has a place at the Center and each has a group of experienced people ensuring high quality, educational experiences, and enjoyable encounters with practicing artists.

Tapestry

The Performing Arts

The performing arts offered at the Center include both musical and dramatic events, all taking place in the auditorium or outdoors. Musical events generally occur between November and April. Dramatic events take place year-round. Many performing artists, in addition to their performance, offer outreach sessions at local schools as an educational experience.  LEARN MORE…

The Visual Arts

The visual arts opportunities at the Center include exhibits, classes, and demonstrations. Topics for classes include drawing painting, printmaking, pottery, glass fusing, and others. These events typically take place in the historic classroom building where needed equipment stays available year-round. An off-site exhibit, Art on the Walls at the Clark Fork Valley Hospital, offers a glimpse of the talents of local artists.  LEARN MORE…

Anthology

The Literary Arts

The literary arts include demonstrations and classes in poetry and various types of writing. Instructors often work with attendees in groups and individually to ensure each person has the basic skills to write on their own.  LEARN MORE…

Kaleidoscope

The Arts for Kids

The Center engages youth in the arts in many ways. Often it includes sending practicing artists into schools at the request of teachers, encouraging students to visit the studios of local artists, annually hosting a student exhibit at the Clark Fork Valley Hospital, and involving students in a series of classes during a week-long summer arts camp.  LEARN MORE…
